Enter Test Mode on Roland XV-5080 (works)

The service manual for the XV-5080 describes a wrong procedure for entering test mode. The correct method is:

  • Switch off device (if on)
  • Hold EXIT then power on device
  • Keep holding EXIT until the “SYSTEM/UTILITY” LED lights up (this takes quite a few seconds)
  • Release EXIT
  • Hold “SYSTEM/UTILITY” until “wait a moment” appears in the middle of the screen (also takes a while)

Navigate in the test mode using SHIFT+BANK and TONE buttons.
